TEACHING & TRAINING HOSPITAL(Parent Hospital)
Established on July 4th, 1956, the JL ROHTAGI Hospital boasts a modern, multi-super specialty tertiary care and trauma facility with over 200 beds. The hospital is centrally air-conditioned to ensure patient comfort. In addition to providing top-notch medical care, the hospital also serves as a teaching and training center for nursing and paramedical students, with over 200 beds allocated for this purpose. The hospital is well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure high-quality teaching and training in various departments.
During their clinical training, students are exposed to a variety of patients to make them competent in the field of medicine. During their training, students are also exposed to behavioral & managerial skills required in today's world for becoming a complete practitioner. The hospital is proud to have trust in society to provide quality medical care to the patients coming from the Kanpur district. The hospital is also running various programs of NRHMC ( NATIONAL RURAL HEALTH MISSION) like free cataract surgery, tuberculosis program under RNTCP, child immunization program, family planning program and others.
Out Patient Department- OPD
The OPD is planned in a modular pattern, with each department having consultation chambers, reception, waiting area, case demonstration room and other necessary laboratories.
The OPD Timing 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
CASUALTY
The hospital has 24-hour casualty and has expertise in trauma management with an expert team of physicians & surgeons .it has facilities of 20 beds treatment room, minor OT & Major OT complex with all necessary equipment for handling emergency cases.
INWARD
The hospital features a five-story ward building with 200 beds that are free for patients seeking treatment in the departments of medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, TB chest, surgery, orthopedics, ENT, and gynecology. Additionally, the hospital has a centrally air-conditioned surgical ICU, medical ICU, ICCU, NICU, PICU, semi-private ward, and private ward. Each ward is equipped with essential amenities, including nursing stations, doctor duty rooms, pantries, teaching areas, examination rooms, and spacious waiting halls for attendants.
CRITICAL CARE
- The critical care medicine department is a 20 beds critical care unit with the nurse to patient ratio of one for patients on ventilators and those requiring invasive monitoring. To achieve its goal, the department is rich with the following facilities.
- 24x7 consultant critical care supervision
- Advanced monitoring system for cardiac hemodynamic
- Protocol of critical care formulated and implemented as per ESICM guidelines
HOSPITAL SERVICES
BLOOD BANK
The institute also has the facility of a blood bank for providing blood to the patients. Our blood bank runs 24x7 for the benefit of the patients; the blood of all groups is available in the blood bank for the patient.
PHARMACY
There is round the clock where practically all types of quality medicine from well-reputed companies are available at very reasonable prices.
OPERATION THEATER
The hospital has a central OT complex and separate 2 OT complexes for gynaecology. The theatres are well equipped with equipment such as a microscope, modern OT light, c-arms, laparoscope, and endoscope for all kinds of surgeries.
It has a wide range of instrumentation to carry out simplest to most complex surgeries. There is a separate sterilization unit for OT.
MESS
The hospital has a central mess which provides a special & regular diet to the patient and the hospital staff at a very concessional rate. The mess maintains a high level of hygiene while preparing & serving meals
